Mamma Mia!

Recently I've been having a lot of tense jaw and headache moment eventhough I've been taking a lot of time to rest. Weird...and I feel like I'm not a complete person...you know, the "something is missing" feeling.

Could it be the braces effect? Oh ya, I've been having braces on for almost 3 months now. And it never fails to make me feel tired with my jaws...i just feel like giving my jaw some rest but how? Let it loose? Hehe...Another problem i encounter ever since is that I salivate my pillow when i sleep sideways :P disgusted it is. But i think i can write an entry just about my braces only...heheh

Back to topic...I went for Mamma Mia the movie with parents @ Mid Valley earlier in the noon. Booking online was full so we went there to try our luck at the gsc counter. In mind, i've the expectation already that the queue there will be long. It's proven when we reached there. Dad wanted to give up and suggested to just do lunch and window shopping only. But I insisted to give it a try since we came all the way....furthermore, it was his suggestion to go watch Mamma Mia after Uncle Francis recommended it for the old folks :P

So I told my parents to go look for food while I queue up to buy the movie tickets. Lucky that GSC do announcement at that moment to purchase from Gold Class counter for certain movies including Mamma Mia. It was a mere 5 mins wait and I got to purchase them. At least accomplished the goal for a Sunday family time together. :)

Ahh, as for the movie...I would say Uncle Francis was right~! The movie is good if you love songs from Abba, and it is more enjoyable if you were in their age too. For a sentimental guy like me, I love oldies...I would say this is a good movie for a Sunday afternoon :D

Next, wonder should I get the ticket for the play too? I remember I saw the ads, the cheapest ticket is 300++ ....urmm....gift for parents? hehe...Klar, I'll sort it out and dream on first to strike lottery. It's 12.30am now, time to sleep as I have lots of work to do tomorrow.

Stop and Stare - Part 2

It’s been quite sometime since I update my blog. Most of you would have known that something big and bad really impacted me. I’ve lost someone dear to me, which is my only sibling, my elder sister on 26 April 2008. She is in a better place now as god loves her more and I hope that we can observe a moment of silence in memory of her. May she rest in peace…

Life is not easy trying to be positive especially thinking of the future. I’ve always been a lucky person to bulldoze thru circumstances and get my grades, pass the exam, finish the unthinkable and finally graduate with a degree. Now I’ve got a proper job and even started supporting the family. Yes…I’m a big boy paying for the house that my parents and I will be staying in.

No matter how, I’ve been putting a big smile whenever I can to cheer up other people. However, in return, I do not get what I thought I should be getting, a better treatment. Probably not from that one person….So enough of the sobering thoughts~!!!

In an effort to link back from where I’ve left from my last post, here are the updates on my wish list :)

1. MacBook (Yes...i need a laptop. My old laptop being hijacked by my dad already)
2. IPhone (I want a cool phone...LG viewty is cool but giving me problems with the touch screen)
3. ITouch (LOL...Apple is making more and more money with ppl like me)
4. In car head unit (with MP3) I guess I will let this go, I’m satisfied with my new-old car (new to me, but it’s an old 2nd hand motorcar to others) head unit
5. Polo Ts (btw, i'm size M at least, upgraded from size S and I want lots of it...LOL...) I really appreciate it, the only Polo T I got was from my sis, in fact 2 Polo Ts from S’pore…i really appreciate it, even until it is torn, I will keep it as it is the last thing I got from my sis.
6. Perfume (I've been using the same perfumes since 2 years back)
7. Laptop backpack (a good and reliable one as my bag just gave way after 2 months, but i still appreciate Kahmun for that bag..it makes my life so much better during that period) Got a laptop bag from my boss :) …thanks boss!
8. External hardisk (At least 120GB) Don’t need it anymore as I’ve bought myself a 250GB external hardisk last PC fair
9. Guitar (Either classical or acoustic, just want to kick start and see whether I suit to pick this up)
10. Good Novels (I seldom read, so educate me... :P)
11. A 22" LCD screen to watch something nice while blogging on my laptop screen. (Isnt that good so that I can update my blog more often :P)
12. Tickets to Singapore F1 night race No tickets for me and the race is over L

This is reality. If I’m in a dream world, I’m willing to let go all in my wish list to have my sister by my side. So let’s get back to reality…

Can anyone explain to me what love is? My ending part would be…

"I hate myself for loving you…"

Premiere

Well, I went for 10,000BC movie premiere last Tuesday. Thanks to my friend for giving me the privilege. It was organized at GSC mid valley. This is my first time experiencing the strictness implemented for not allowing any electrical devices to be brought into the cineplex. Yes, I mean all electrical devices such as handphone, laptop, pda and of course camera. You'll need to pass everything to the staffs and collect it later after the movie. Don't think of cheating..they even have a scanner to scan your body before allowing you to enter the cineplex. If that is not enough, the are 2 rows of staffs, left and right, welcoming you while you walk in, and they will check your pockets and handbags if they suspect anything.

Enough said about the pre-movie experience. This is one good movie to my liking, and I've been waiting for one of this for such a long time. The feeling brings me back to the time we first saw LOTR. It is one of the greatest movie at that time. This type of great movie provides great curiousity, great graphics, great sound effect, great feeling and great story line. The last movie that gives me slight of the feelings was Transformers. Probably it's because I got to watch the movie premiere as well in Imax. Hehe :P

Well, just go and watch 10,000 BC. I highly recommend it and I hope you'll enjoy the movie as much as I do. :)

Anyway, what I've done this week? My ttime spent this week is not limited to watching movies only, I get to watch some nice videos too. Since it's the election/erection season, let's watch these good videos :D LOL...

Stop and stare

It's been a tiring day. I had paintball competition today in Sports Arena, Cyberjaya. The game was really fun but a bit disspointed with the 3rd round where our team lost. We were disqualified just because one of the team member removed the mask in the battle field when the game ends because he was too happy that we won consecutively for 3rd round. And all hopes just shattered...we are disqualified immediately for that game :(
Fyi, it is a must to wear the mask all the time when you are in the field.

Anyway, it is just a game to all of us and the most important is that we all had fun.

Regarding my promise to update the blog at least once a week, I've failed miserably just after I said so. But, I have explanation on that as I was away for more than a week to China. Yeah, I went for a trip again just a week after I came back from my Bali trip :P

I intend to share about my trips. Ever since last year I should post about my Melaka & Taiping trip. This time around I have Bali and China still fresh in mind. Anyhow, that will be in a different post to come.

The main thing I would like to share is that the lessons I learned from the China trip. I lost 2 days of my photos destroyed in my own hand. It is all gone and the photos are.......priceless. I cant turn back to visit the same place and get back the same photos again. And my family is quite frustrated with it. I'm really so sorry....

So let's go to details on how it happened.

I brought my laptop along for the trip. Each and every night I will transfer the photos into the laptop so that I can clear up the memory card. On my 4th day there, I was sick and skipped the routine. Therefore on the 5th night, I have to copy photos for the last 2 days. Below is the description of the steps I took to destroy my own photos.
1. Insert card into the laptop build-in card reader.
2. I rename the folder to something more informational eg. Beijing Day 4 & 5
3. Copy the whole folder into the laptop storage
4. Try to view the photos that have been copied, but no preview
5. Check on card again and it is not functioning
6. Removed card and insert again
7. TADAAAAA!!!!......card error, card is not formatted!!!

I cant read the card anymore and I cant use it anymore if I dont format it. Once I format, it is tadaaa again. For sure everything will be gone. I've decided to format it because I have only one memory card, and I still need to take photos for the remaining days in China.

With all the frustration, I could not sleep well that night. I figured out that the error should have caused by the step 2 above. I knew it because my card's lock/unlock latch is already loose. The position of the latch must have been in between the two, and the renaming of the folder may have gone haywire, causing the card to be in a format not recognizable. Sigh...Lesson learned.

I strongly suggest to all not to do any changes on the card, thumbdrive or any sorts of external storage before you copy into your designated storage. Edit it only when it is already safe, or else you will regret...just like me. Anyway, the memories will always still be in my mind even without the photos, so let's still stay happy because the experience is what actually counts.

Lastly, I would like to share the lyrics of this song called "Stop & Stare" by One Republic. I have this song at least 2 months ago and the more I listen, the more I feel the song. It somehow describes how I feel.

This town is colder now
I think it's sick of us
It's time to make our move
I'm shakin' off the rust
I've got my heart set on
anywhere but here
I'm staring down myself, counting up the years
Steady hands just take the wheel
Every glance is killing me
Time to make one last appeal for the lifw I lead
Stop and stare
I think I'm moving, but I go nowhereYeah,
I know that everyone gets scared
But I've become what I can't be
Ohhh
Stop and stare
You start to wonder why you're here not there
And you'd give anything to get what's fair
But fair ain't what you really need
Oh, can you see what I see
They're tryin' to come back, all my senses push
Untie the weight tags I never thought I could
Steady feet don't fail me now,
I'm a run till you can't walk
But something pulls my focus out, and I'm standing down.
Stop and stare
I think I'm moving but I go nowhere
Yeah, I know that everyone get scared
But I've become what I can't be
Whoa!!!
Stop and stare
You start to wonder why you're here not there
And you'd give anything to get what's fair
But fair ain't what you really need
Oh, you don't need
Stop and stare
I think I'm moving but I go nowhere
Yeah, I know that everyone get scared
I've become what I can't be
Oh, do you see what I see?

emOver

My dear friends, I'm really sorry that it has been long since I last update my blog. Anyway, I've been thru a lot recently and things are getting pretty interesting.

Anyway, it's really late now and I would just like to do a short dedication to the loved ones I lost last year. Yes, loved ones, there are two of them which I lost last year.

1. My soul mate which is already dead in my life (you know who). It is going to be a year since you are gone.
2. My only grandparents around, my paternal grandmother. You are the last grandparents I have in my life and you left us last year. Chinese New Year is coming, and things will be totally different this year without you. I just wish that you have a good life up there.

Btw, I would like to dedicate to some special people who have been around me when I'm so down. You've given me support either by just being a listener, entertainer or a shoulder to cry. I'm really thankful I have you. That special group of people will be my loving parents, SuHuann, KahMun, Nic, Jasmine, Calvin, Lindy, Zana, Rina, Rahman, SooYeu, YihHorng, WengChoong, Bernard, Sureen and more...For those that I miss out, please note that every bit you have contributed has made me stronger and made me the person I am today.

Thanks a lot.

This year will be something out of ordinary to me. I will not be around for some used-to-be important celebration for me. Please enjoy CNY, Valentines and my birthday an extra bit for me as I would not be here with you. No, I'm not dying :P But I will not be around with you all.

Enjoy life to the fullest.

Please leave comments and I'll make it a must to update this blog at least once a week for my 2008 resolution. Haha...

Cheers.
